Sharing Resources. Building Connection.
Kindred Neighbors Collective
Welcome to the Kindred Neighbors Collective. This grassroots initiative aims to reduce food waste and food insecurity by redistributing surplus food and household goods to community members in need, with no paperwork or eligibility requirements. Hablamos español.
Mission and Vision
Our mission is to create a compassionate and inclusive space where food and resources are shared freely, reducing waste and supporting individuals and families facing temporary or ongoing hardship.
Humble Beginnings
This idea began simply. We saw how many parents, friends, and neighbors quietly go without. This was not because they don’t care or don’t try, but because life can be overwhelming, especially for those juggling neurodivergence, disabilities and chronic conditions, low income, or single parenting without extended family nearby.
Many of these families don’t see themselves as “in need enough” to use food banks or meal programs, even as bills go unpaid and credit card debt piles up. They often fall through the cracks, doing their best to hold everything together until they reach a breaking point, or one unexpected event throws off best-laid plans for success.
Support for Communities
This project is designed to be a community stopgap and a way to meet people where they are, offering nourishment and connection before crisis hits, so that families can thrive, not just survive.
Our mission is to share food and essentials directly with families and individuals in need, without complicated forms, disclosure of immigration status, or proof of income; just compassion, dignity, and trust.
We collect surplus food and household items and redistribute them directly to community members.
No paperwork or proof of income required. If you have something to give or need a little help, you belong here.
Our goal is to meet people before crisis hits, offering nourishment, connection, and dignity so that families can thrive, not just survive.
